ST. LOUIS – A man was sentenced to decades behind bars on Tuesday in connection with a deadly St. Louis hit-and-run crash nearly four years ago that killed a family of five.

A St. Louis Circuit Court judge sentenced Marshawn Stepney, 21, to 25 years in state prison in a pre-agreed plea deal.

In January, Stepney pleaded guilty to five counts of second-degree murder, two counts of first degree assault, one count of first-degree tampering, and one count of felony leaving the scene of an accident.
